Gun Show Exhibitor Standards

Each and every table in the main hall must qualify under the 85% acceptable item "arms or arms related" rule. The main hall is the area with the high ceiling.
1. Items banned from sale include cameras (phone, still or video), black powder, black jacks, brass knuckles, throwing stars, nun chucks, lock picks, toys of any kind, collector cards, jewelry, items displaying vulgarity, obscenity, or death of animals or persons, and books on how to make bombs or illegal guns.
2. Sound (noise) demonstrations of items for sale are not allowed.
3. Arms or arms related items are defined as guns, gun parts, books about guns, military history, game cooking, gun cleaning supplies, tools designed for gunsmithing, ammunition in sealed containers, reloading supplies and equipment, edged weapons (other than switchblades), hunting supplies, military surplus, taxidermy products, and western heritage items. (85% of each space) Items permitted on the remaining 15% (approximately 3 square feet) of each table are fishing supplies, current production clothing, sun glasses, radios, boots, handmade arts and crafts, belts, buckles, tools, paintings, prints, and photos.
4. All handguns on dealers' spaces must be secured by cord or alarm cable or within glass cases to help resist theft during the show.
5. All decisions of the DACA Show Chairman, DACA Officers or Board to the acceptability of all items offered for sale or display will be final. First offence results in a warning and banned or inappropriate items being removed from display. The second offence of displaying banned or inappropriate items will result in the vendor being removed from the show and forfeiting rental fees.
6. The bottom of all hanging signs and banners must be at least 6'8" above the floor and the top of any sign may be no higher than 11' above the floor.
7. All local, state, and federal laws must be observed.
8. The original purchaser of show space is responsible to register the space. The original purchaser will forfeit all subleted space found not in compliance with show standards. The person who subleted the space will be removed from the show. Reoccurring instances of violations will result in the original purchaser being banned from the show and losing the privilege of renting space for a twelve month period from the date the subleted space was found to be in noncompliance.
9. Alcoholic beverages will not be consumed in Market Hall during show hours.
10. Absolutely no animals are allowed in Market Hall other than service dogs

11. No photography of any kind unless preapproved by show chairman.

 

AMMUNITION SALES IN MARKET HALL
To comply with restrictions of Dallas Market Center and our liability insurance company, all ammunition in the show must be sealed or secured in the following manner:

At the front door:

1. Any ammunition in a gun, clip or magazine when it comes through the front door goes into the "ammo jug". Law enforcement officers, with proper ID being displayed, are the only exception.

2. Ammunition, in modern boxes, must be taped at both ends.

3. Vintage or collectable ammunition must be sealed in a Zip-Loc type bag and either taped or stapled

On the tables:

1. Boxed ammo must be taped or sealed at both ends (either by the factory or the vendor).

2. Ammunition in plastic bags must be taped, heat sealed, or stapled.

3. Ammunition in ammo cans must be covered with plastic and that plastic must be secured to the sides of the can with tape, so that the rounds inside cannot be easily removed.
4. Vintage or collectable ammunition must be in sealed plastic bags or in a locked glass case. Ammo sold from locked glass cases must be put into sealed, plastic bags at the point of sale.

Important Notice to Dealers and Other Participants at this Gun Show

This NOTICE applies to activities permitted at bona fide gun shows, as defined in Title 27 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Section 178.100.
A flea market is not a gun show!



DEALERS LICENSED IN THIS STATE:

  • MUST comply with all recordkeeping requirements of ATF regulations concerning accusition and disposition of firearms, especially recording the place of sale.
  • MAY dispose of handguns to residents of this state only.
  • MAY dispose of longguns to residents of any state, provided the laws of both states are complied with.
  • MAY dispose of firearms to any Federal firearm licensee(FFL).
  • MAY acquire firearms from any FFL licensed in this state, or from any non-licensed individual.
  • CANNOT dispose of handguns to out of state residents.

DEALERS NOT LICENSED IN THIS STATE:

  • MUST comply with all ATF recordkeeping requirements concerning acquistions of firearms.
  • MAY acquire firearms from any FFL licensed in this state and from any non-licensed individual.
  • CANNOT make sales of firearms with delivery, to anyone, even to or through an FFL licensed in this state.

Can display and take orders only.

NON-LICENSED RESIDENTS OF THIS STATE:

  • MAY acquire long guns and handguns from FFLs licensed in this state.
  • MAY dispose of firearms to any FFL.
  • MAY acquire from and dispose of personal firearms to non-licensed residents of this state.
  • CANNOT acquire from or dispose of firearms to non-licensed resident of any other state.

NON-LICENSED RESIDENTS FROM ANOTHER STATE:

  • MAY dispose of firearms to any FFL.
  • MAY acquire longguns only from FFLs licensed in this state, provided the laws of both states are complied with.
  • CANNOT acquire handguns.
  • CANNOT dispose of firearms to non-licensed individuals.
